4x8ft Moistureproof Gypsum Board 15mm Water Resistant Plasterboard For Ceiling
Introduction of 15mm Water Resistant Plasterboard
Moisture/Waterproof Gypsum Board
Water resistant plasterboard, also known as moisture-resistant board, is a type of gypsum board that is made with a water-resistant core. Traditional plasterboard can absorb moisture, leading to swelling, warping, and mold growth. Water-resistant plasterboard is designed to resist mold and mildew growth while being able to withstand exposure to moisture without swelling or deteriorating.
Waterproof gypsum board, also known as green board or moisture-proof gypsum board, is a building material used for walls and ceilings in areas where moisture may exist, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms.
Waterproof gypsum board is made by adding a layer of moisture-proof material to the core of the standard gypsum board during the manufacturing process. This moisture-proof material is usually fiberglass felt or specially treated paper surface.
The design of waterproof gypsum board can resist the growth of mold and can withstand moisture without deterioration. However, its design is not completely waterproof and should not be used in areas that come into direct contact with water, such as shower rooms.
Features of 15mm Water Resistant Plasterboard
Waterproof Gypsum Board has high waterproof performance, with surface water absorption ≤ 160g/m2 and water absorption rate of about 5%.
- Water-resistant: The main feature of waterproof gypsum board is that it is resistant to water and moisture. It can withstand prolonged exposure to water without deteriorating or losing its strength.
- Mold and mildew resistant: Waterproof gypsum board has been treated with special additives that inhibit the growth of mold and mildew, making it ideal for use in humid environments.
- Durable: The gypsum core of the board is reinforced with fiberglass, which enhances its durability and resistance to impact.
- Easy to install: Waterproof gypsum board can be easily cut and installed using standard tools and techniques.
- Fire-resistant: Just like standard gypsum board, waterproof gypsum board is also fire-resistant and can provide additional protection in case of a fire.
- Cost-effective: Although it may be slightly more expensive than regular gypsum board, the long-term benefits of using waterproof gypsum board in areas prone to moisture make it a cost-effective solution.

Application of 9.5mm Water Resistant Plasterboard
- Bathroom Walls and Ceiling: Because the bathroom is easy to be damp and damp, a 9.5mm waterproof gypsum board can be used to create a moisture barrier on the wall and ceiling. This will help prevent the growth of mold and molds, which can be harmful to health.
- Kitchen rear splash: 9.5mm waterproof gypsum board can be used as the back material of the kitchen rear splash. It can be installed in the back of tiles or other decorative materials to provide a moisture barrier that protects the walls from water damage.
- Laundry room walls: Laundry rooms are also prone to moisture, especially if they are located in the basement.9.5 mm waterproof gypsum board can be used to create a moisture barrier on walls to prevent water damage and growth of mold and mold.
- Basement walls: The basement is notoriously damp and prone to flooding. A 9.5 mm waterproof gypsum board can be used to create a moisture barrier on basement walls to prevent water damage and mold growth.
